This programme aims to develop rigorous, systematic research and education in academic Jewish studies throughout Europe.

We provide funding to individual scholars and to university departments to undertake innovative Jewish Studies research and to train the next generation of scholars. We also prioritise the teaching and learning of Jewish languages.

The Academic Jewish Studies grant programme is currently being restructured, with the application cycle brought more in-line with the academic calendar.

The next AJS round will open in Autumn 2021 and applicants will receive a decision in Spring 2022. The AJS pages will be available later this year.

You can register on our website to receive email notification of when the next AJS grant round opens.
