This programme aims to develop rigorous, systematic research and education in academic Jewish studies throughout Europe.

We provide funding to individual scholars and to university departments to undertake innovative Jewish Studies research and to train the next generation of scholars. We also prioritise the teaching and learning of Jewish languages.

We offer funding for:

  • Doctoral Fellowships
  • Post-Doctoral Fellowships
  • Digital Humanities Research Grants
  • Jewish Language Teaching Fellowships
  • Academic Language Grants

Several major university departments across Europe currently have a multi-year grant from the Foundation to ensure the sustainability of their Jewish studies research and teaching. These grants are currently under review and may be offered again in 2025.

You can register on our website to receive email notification of when grants are available and other information relating to the type of projects we support.
