Digital Projects in Jewish Education

An unexpected outcome of the pandemic has been that European Jewish communities have had a crash course on delivering online Jewish education and community engagement programming. Some have adapted quickly to crisis mode but the “normal” that we will return to is likely to look different and communities need to take advantage of the new opportunities that have appeared.

Some communities and educators were relatively successful in making the shift needed in their pedagogical approach to work in this environment, while others found it more challenging.

In the long term, we are likely to see more blended (face to face and virtual) learning and engagement. Community organisers will need training, support, peer-learning and imagination to try new approaches.

This is an opportunity for Jewish communal organisations to propose a new strategy/programme/project that takes the emerging, changing reality into account. Please contact Daniela Greiber at d.greiber@rothschildfoundation.eu if you would like to discuss this further. For ideas and examples of possible projects click here.
Please note that organisations from FSU countries would not be eligible for support in this grant programme and applications are by invitation only.
